Pappy Johns Band with Murray Porter

Award-winning seasoned blues musicians, The Pappy Johns Band featuring Murray Porter are long-time friends and family from Ontario's Six Nations. Although the Pappy Johns Band formed in 2000, the members have performed blues in the Aboriginal community for more than 25 years. Known as the original house band on APTN's Buffalo Tracks, the Pappy Johns Band is Faron Johns (vocals), with Don Powless, Joe Mahfoud and Oren Doxtator. Their previous CD won four Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards in 2002.
