JigBand

Keeping the traditional music and dance of the Métis alive and kicking is the mission of Manitoba's JigBand. What has been passed down from generation to generation in the oral tradition of the First Nations and Métis, is now being captured and shared by JigBand, keepers of the "Jig Faith." Eddie Birkett is JigBand's leader, producer and percussionist, Darren Lavalee's fiddle, lead vocals, and lead guitar are at the heart of the JigBand sound. Tom Dutiaume plays fiddle, guitars, bass, vocals, and drums. Randy Hiebert can be found on guitars, vocals, as well as writing, arranging, and producing. Paul Kelly is heard on bass guitar and vocals.
