Eagle & Hawk: Who are they and what are they
saying?
2002
Juno Award Winners (Best Music of Aboriginal Canada).
Since 1994, Canada's Eagle & Hawk has continued
as a leading sound in contemporary Aboriginal music.
By infusing a mixture of modern rock, and a commitment
to sharing a perspective on Aboriginal life, Eagle &
Hawk has emerged as a musical leader. Eagle & Hawk
has toured and performed throughout Canada , United
States as well as over 10 tours of Europe.
"They have gained a growing reputation in Canada
and Europe for their unique brand of Indian Rock, touching
on contemporary sounds and issues. In fact they have
risen to the top of a new genre of Aboriginal music."
- Jim Compton, APTN
"Die Musik der vierkopfigen Band aus dem kanadischen
Winnipeg kommt alles andere als atherisch und okologisch-spirituell
daher. Die vier Musiker rocken: laut, fetzig, manchmal
sogar rotzig. (The music made by the four band members
from Winnipeg/Canada is not just ethereal and ecological-spiritual.
The four musicians rock: loud, wild and sometimes even
snotty)" - Peter Muller, Stadt St. Gallen Switzerland
"Their music weaves acoustic and electric rock
styles with world beat, rhythm and blues and funk. These
styles are accentuated with the rhythms and music of
Native North America, creating a very eclectic and engaging
live show" - World Beat Festival
